Working on a job you have been invited to

Uploading documents and adding risks for a practice's project through your own link, and what an account adds.

A practice has invited you to contribute to one of its projects, for example to upload calculations or to record risks you have identified. You do not need an account.

You get one link for the job, however many things the practice has asked of you. Open it and enter the one-time code emailed to you, as described in Opening something shared with you.

The page shows the practice, the project and its site address, and only what you have contributed to it.

What you can do

What the practice has allowed is shown on the page. It may be one or both of these.

  • Upload documents. Add a file to the job. To replace one of yours, upload a new version: nothing is overwritten, and your earlier versions stay available to download. Each version shows whether it has been issued onward and when, but never to whom.
  • Add risks. Enter a risk in the structured form. The practice reviews each one and marks it Accepted, Returned to you for changes, or Rejected.

What you cannot see

You see nothing that anyone else uploaded, no other project, and no other practice. A practice receives your contributions and decides what, if anything, is passed on.

Adding the job to an account

After you enter the code, you can create an account or sign in to an existing one. An account does not give you more power on the job. It adds a Shared with me list on your practices page, grouped by practice and project, so you can reach every job you are invited to without finding each email.

Creating an account here needs no confirmation email, because the code you entered has already confirmed your address. If that address already has an account, sign in to it instead. You can also decline, and keep using the emailed link.

When access ends

The practice can withdraw your access, and it ends automatically if the practice archives the project. The job then shows as "Access ended by" the practice and the date. What you uploaded stays with the practice. Keep your own originals.
